First World War stories from the Isle of Man - The first and last Manx deaths of the First World War
An idea of the terrible waste of life caused by the First World War can be gained from the stories of the first and (next to) last deaths of Manx soldiers as a result of the conflict. Their true stories make for painful realisations of the terrible reality of war.
This is one of the stories which features in the First World War exhibition recently opened at the Manx Aviation and Military Museum near Ronaldsway.
It is presented by the director of the Museum, Ivor Ramsden.
