Customers will see improvements to billing system in 2024, says IOM Energy

Company promises new 'online account area' following billing issues

Isle of Man Energy says customers will see improvements to its billing system in 2024 after two years of 'teething problems' and investment.

The company's system was updated in 2022 causing some incorrect bills to be sent out, something it says it knows 'wasn't acceptable'.

Throughout last year the company says it invested in the billing system 'internally and externally'.

In its latest annual report Isle of Man Energy says: "Looking ahead to 2024, we are looking to introduce an online account area which will give customers the ability to manage even more aspects of their accounts."

"By introducing this new function, we hope to make our customers’ web journeys with us easier and faster than ever before.

"In addition to this, customers will be able to submit meter readings, final reads, requests for MBT top-up, and order gas cylinders, as well as amending their contact details, direct debit amounts and direct debit bank account."
