Cannan: 'It's important to listen'

Chief Minister keen to hear views of young people at roadshow

Young people are being urged to turn out to speak to their politicians.

The chief minister and his Council of Ministers are heading out on a ‘roadshow’ around the Island from Monday, 22 April.

Alfred Cannan says it’s important they listen to members of the public; fewer than 100 people attended a similar exercise two years ago.

He told Manx Radio it's one way of hearing what people think about government's progress:

Four events will be held in the north, south, east and west as follows:

  • South: Monday 22 April – Castle Rushen High School (6pm to 8pm)
  • West: Tuesday 23 April – Queen Elizabeth II High School (6pm to 8pm)
  • East: Wednesday 24 April – Ballakermeen High School (6pm to 8pm)
  • North: Thursday 25 April – Ramsey Grammar School (6pm to 8pm)

Those interested in attending are encouraged to register in advance through Eventbrite - you can find out more by clicking HERE.
