Delayed Manannan sailings cancelled due to operational reasons

Tomorrow's Belfast and Liverpool services also delayed

The delayed 3pm Manannan sailing to Liverpool and the return 7.15pm service have both been cancelled due to what the Steam Packet Company has described as operational reasons.

The fastcraft had earlier been delayed in Merseyside after strong winds at Pier Head prevented passengers on the morning sailing from disembarking in Liverpool.

It meant the 11.15am crossing to Douglas didn't depart until around 3pm, arriving into the Manx capital around 7.30pm.

The Steam Packet had asked passengers booked on the 3pm crossing to check in by 6.30pm for a delayed sailing to Liverpool, but have now confirmed that journey won't be going ahead.

Passengers booked on the affected sailings are being urged to amend their booking free of charge online, or call the reservations team on 661661.

The ferry operator has also announced a delay to tomorrow's Manannan services to and from Belfast. The 7am departure will now leave at 8.45am, with the 10.45am return crossing now departing at 12.30pm.

Meanwhile, the 3pm departure to Liverpool will now leave Douglas at 4.30pm, and the 7.15pm return crossing will depart Liverpool at 8.45pm.

Manx Radio has contacted the Steam Packet Company for further details.
