'Difficult questions to answer' on future of public sector housing

Former housing board chair says changes to rents and benefits could be an option

The former chair of the housing board says there are difficult questions to answer about the future of public sector housing on the Isle of Man.

Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas stepped down from the board earlier this year, with Douglas North member David Ashford recently confirmed as his successor.

Mr Thomas is seeking a general debate on housing in this month's sitting of Tynwald.

He says higher rents and changes to the benefits system could be one option for the committee:
