Gov't issues dog owners 'friendly reminder'

"Please ensure everyone's safety by keeping dogs under control"

Dog-walkers are being issued a ‘friendly reminder’ to keep furry friends on leads on public rights of way.

The Department of Infrastructure says loose canines can distress sheep and other livestock – even after lambing season - and pose risks to wildlife and others around them.

They’re urging residents not to wander across fields and ‘respect’ the designated path.
