Half a million on school computers per year

Figures revealed in Keys this week

More than £2 million has been spent on buying computer equipment for schools over the last four years.

Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse asked the Education Minister for the figures in the House of Keys this week.

On average, around half a million pounds of the Department's annual budget goes towards IT hardware in Manx primary and secondary schools.

More than half is spent on Apple and Microsoft desktop computers.
