Former DHSC Minister claims Mr Hooper made a 'factually incorrect' statement in Tynwald
The health minister says there are parallels between comments made by his predecessor and the former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Lawrie Hooper has denied misleading Tynwald after Rob Callister claimed he made a factually incorrect statement about the Onchan member at last month's sitting of Tynwald.
Mr Hooper discussed Mr Callister's involvement in government's handling of the Dr Rosalind Ranson tribunal at May's sitting, resulting in Mr Callister accusing the minister of 'throwing him under the bus', and has since posted on social media to say he's asked for a formal apology from Mr Hooper.
Meanwhile, a UK parliamentary committee last week found Boris Johnson had mislead parliament over his actions during lockdown, something he has denied.
Mr Hooper says there are similarities between Mr Johnson's remarks and those of Mr Callister:
