Manx Care MD currently working in Liverpool

Dr Andole has completed his secondment at Derby and Burton

Manx Care's executive medical director is currently undertaking clinical activity in Liverpool after completing a secondment at another UK hospital.

Dr Sreeman Andole, who joined Manx Care in 2021, took up a post at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust on a temporary basis earlier this year.

In a letter to staff, shared at the time with Manx Radio, Manx Care's Chief Executive Teresa Cope described his secondment as 'a great loss' adding that the trust had made a proactive approach for the stroke consultant.

In April the Island's healthcare provider confirmed Dr Marina Hudson, a clinical director for Manx Care, had taken over as medical director on an interim basis - an appointment that was expected to last six months.

In September a new interim executive medical director took over at Derby and Burton.

Manx Care has now confirmed to Manx Radio that Dr Andole has completed his secondment and is currently working in Liverpool which is part of his contract with Manx Care.

It adds that Dr Hudson will remain as interim executive medical director during this time.
