MLC concerned that spending power of 'silver pound' is being ignored

Government push for economically active residents

The chief minister says ‘difficult decisions’ will have to be had about how to shape the Isle of Man’s future population.

This week Alfred Cannan outlined plans to grow the number of residents to 100,000 by 2037.

Government wants to drive the inward migration of economically active people to balance the current age profile and reduce dependency ratio.
