Kemmyrk Choan Rhennee can be found within Conrhenny Community Woodland
A new shelter has been unveiled within Conrhenny Community Woodland.
The Conrhenny Shelter - Kemmyrk Choan Rhennee – 'provides a space to connect with the biodiversity all around us whilst celebrating the value of arts and culture within the natural environment'.
Culture Vannin, the Isle of Man Arts Council and Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture sought designs for the creative shelter - highlighting the connections between culture and the arts, well-being and the natural environment - back in 2019.
The final shelter was designed by architects Betty Laurincova and Michal Kotvan.
It has been built using locally and sustainably sourced timber and cut to exact measurements by DEFA’s St. Johns Sawmill.
