Pair were caught out by tide while out on beach walk
Lifeboat crews in Ramsey were mobilised yesterday after a person suffered injuries whilst walking out on rocks along the coast.
Ramsey RNLI was called out around 4.39pm on Saturday, 25 September, to the scene near Port Lewaigue.
Two people were located and brought back to Ramsey Harbour at 5.25pm before being transferred into the care of Ramsey Coastguard.
One of the two people recovered was then checked over by paramedics.
Lifeboat Coxswain, Mark Kenyon, says the two individuals were walking along the beach at Port Lewaigue before the tide forced them to climb up the rocks.
He confirmed one of the pair rescued had slipped on the rocks but the injuries sustained appear 'relatively minor'.
Mr Kenyon is now advising residents to check tide times if walking along any beach to make sure they can reach their destination safely.
