Applications being invited for grassroots role

The Isle of Man Football Association (IOMFA) is on the lookout for someone to spearhead the development of the women and girls game on the Island.

The sporting body is looking to appoint a new Isle of Man-based Women & Girls Community Champion.

It's part of a wider initiative started by the English FA to deploy community champions into the grassroots game for 2023/24 in different counties or regions all across the country.

The IOMFA says essential skills will include experience in community volunteering and leading groups and being able to establish working relationships with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Key traits would also include being a role model for women and girls and understanding the 'challenges and barriers' to coaching they may face.

Any interested candidates must apply before the deadline on Monday, 9 October

Details of the role and application process are available HERE.
