Netball: Isle of Man names squad for invitational Island games

Five-day tournament will be held at the NSC next week

The Isle of Man has named its squad to take on fellow Island nations in the inaugural Netball Invitational Island Games being held on Manx shores next week.

Twelve players have been named for the Isle of Man with a mix of experienced and breakthrough players to contest next week's five-day event

Alongside established members of the side, among those selected are Cassidy Pizzey, Kenzie Pizzey and Becca Cooke who were part of the Manx Rams Under-21's side which took bronze at the Europe Netball Championship & Challenge in Sheffield last month.

The invitational games will see the Isle of Man welcome Guernsey, Jersey, Ynys Mon, Shetland and Orkney for five days of matches from 7-11 November at the NSC in Douglas.

The Isle of Man men's netball squad will also take part in two matches against Guernsey men during the tournament.

The Isle of Man ladies team's first game will be on Tuesday, 7 November, at 6pm against Guernsey.
