Triathlon: IoM Championships head to Ramsey this weekend

Manx Tri Club says it gets great support from local community

One of the major events on the Isle of Man's triathlon calendar is set to head to the north of the Island this weekend.

The Isle of Man Triathlon Championships will see both individual competitors and teams face off in competition at Mooragh Park in Ramsey this Sunday (3 September).

There will be both standard and sprint distance races taking place with races starting from 9.30am.

In the sprint, there will be either a 400m or 750m swim followed by a 20km cycle route and a 5km run.

Meanwhile, the standard distance will incorporate a 1500m swim, 40km cycle and 10km run.

In total nearly 70 entries have been registered which is a similar figure to demand in 2022 - entries for the event are now closed.

Rich George, secretary of the organisers, Manx Tri Club, says the event each year gets great support from the local community in Ramsey:
