ARCHERY: Sleight finishes year on a high breaking English record

Lesley takes Ladies English 3D Championship title

Manx archer Lesley Sleight has added yet another title to her ever-growing list of accomplishments breaking an English record in the process.

Sleight was competing in the English Field Archery Association English 3D Championships at the weekend where she took the Championship title for Ladies Traditional Recurve.

Not only that, she's broken the English record for the adult 3D Marked Round.

Her score of 470 beat the previous record by 6 points adding 24 points to her personal best score.

After day 1 Lesley found herself leading by 16 points.

Day 2 was the marked 3D round and, following tough competition, it was Lesley who came out on top winning by just 6 points enabling her to take the Gold and Championship title by 22 points.

This was Lesley's last major competition of a very successful year that saw her break 2 World and European Records, 1 British record and 5 English records.
