Alex Perriam
Alex is an independent candidate standing in Glenfaba and Peel.
He's spent his career to date managing businesses, teaching and mentoring young people and working with local organisations by volunteering in the community.
He's now manager at Jac's Stores in Douglas.
In his spare time, he says his greatest enjoyment comes from family and spending time with his five children.
He also enjoys cooking and is a keen follower of rugby and football, and has also represented the Isle of Man in judo.
Alex says: "Like many of you, I have concerns about the issues facing our community: access to affordable housing, healthcare, the rising cost of living, supporting local businesses and farming, protecting Peel's unique character and ensuring that the west of our Island has a strong voice in Tynwald."
We asked each candidate to tell us what their priorities would be if elected.
Alex chose getting the basics right, building a stronger future for Glenfaba and Peel, and an open, responsible and accountable government.
