Daniel is an independent candidate standing in Glenfaba and Peel.
He is the youngest to declare at 18, having just finished his A Levels.
He says: "I built The Garage Barbershop myself out of a derelict garage whilst doing my GCSE’s three years ago, with no backing and nobody to catch me if it went under. For the past year I’ve also been doing marketing work for businesses across the Island. I’m not asking anyone to overlook my age. I’m asking you to look at what I’ve done with it
"Three years behind a chair cutting hair for the residents of the island teaches you what’s really going on in a town, rather than the version that gets said at meetings. Young families nowhere near a mortgage while new estates go up around them. Farmers around the island working longer hours for less. And people are uneasy about how quickly the Island is being asked to change."
