Dave is an independent candidate standing in Douglas East.
He currently is a taxi driver and tour guide, and this is his first time standing for election.
He has two children and a black Labrador called Layla.
In his spare time, he enjoys race walking, football and any sport.
Dave says: "I understand the vital heartbeat of our tourism sector and I know the hard work it takes to keep Douglas thriving.
"Today I work as a taxi driver, if you want to know what is actually happening in Douglas, what people are worried about, what they are angry about and what they hope for... you don't look at a government report, you sit in the front seat of a cab.
"Every single day I hear your struggles with the cost of living, our roads and our public services."
We asked each candidate to tell us what their priorities would be if elected.
