Stephen Broad

Stephen Broad
Stephen is an independent candidate standing in Ayre and Michael.
He runs his own road haulage and crane hire business and this is his first time standing in a General Election.
He has three children, as well as three dogs, a cat, horses and donkeys.
In his spare time, he enjoys his vintage lorry and tinkering with vintage vehicles, riding his horse and being a crew on his wife's boat where she's the Captain.
He says: "I have decided to stand in the 2026 House of Keys General Election because I am extremely concerned about the current and future trajectory of the Isle of Man."
Among Stephen's priorities are government reform, encouraging young people to stay on the Island and making sure our infrastructure, healthcare and schools are fit for purpose.
We asked each candidate to tell us what their priorities would be if elected.
Stephen said delivering services that fit and proper, bringing scrutiny back to Tynwald and the House of Keys to make sure Government explains its actions, and engaging with the public and businesses to be able to thoroughly scrutinise items on the Order Paper.
