The Isle of Man has been named on a list of 39 tax havens.
Washington DC released the list as part of its Budget Support Act, which was voted in earlier this year.
Previously, similar laws hadn’t named jurisdictions, but this year legislators have compiled a list which includes the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, alongside the likes of Liechtenstein and Bermuda.
The new law will undergo a 30-day review period in the US Congress before coming into effect.
