LVA backs plans for minimum wage rise

Hourly rate will increase to £7.50 from 1 June

The Licensed Victuallers Association has backed plans to increase the minimum wage for over-25s.

From 1 June, the rate will rise to £7.50 an hour.

Brewery Heron and Brearley this week criticised the move - claiming it could lead to job losses and some firms closing down.

But Chairman of the LVA Andy Saunders doesn't agree:
