Rape accused to stand trial next May

St John's man denies 14 charges

A St John's man accused of committing a string of sexual offences will stand trial next May.

William Henry Kelly of Peel Road denies nine charges of rape, three counts of indecent assault and two of assault causing actual bodily harm.

The pre-trial review of the 46 year-old has been held at Douglas Courthouse.

The offences are alleged to have been committed between January 2013 and March this year.

A 14 day trial has been set down to begin on May 2 and will be presided over by Deemster Birkett.
