Queens Pier Ramsey Photo Appeal

If you have old photos of family enjoying themselves on or around the peir, or maybe ships or otherwise working on it, and would like to see them in a forthcoming book about the pier, then please come along (thanks to the generosity of manager Carl Joughin) to the Mitre Hotel, Ramsey on Saturday 15th July from 10am to 4pm.

Here we can take some details from you, scan your photo and then return it to you immediately.

Local author Bob Stimpson (who has penned books on Manxmen William Kennish and Sir Frank Gill) has been working with pier stalwarts Tom Durrant and Captain Stuart McKenzie MBE to build up a full picture of the life and challenges faced by the pier from its inception in the 1880's up to the present day activities.
