Final sticking point over fishing delayed announcement
The Isle of Man Government has responded to the UK's Brexit trade deal with the European Union, after a day of talks over final details.
Fishing appeared to be the sticking point that delayed the announcement, originally expected this morning (24 December).
In a statement from the Cabinet Office, Chief Minister Howard Quayle MHK today said: ‘I welcome news from the UK Government that it has concluded a trade deal with the European Union. I am able to confirm that this paves the way for an Isle of Man deal that is good for the Island’s people and economy.’
