GP figurehead hears Island concerns

Island doctors raise series of issues

The head of the professional body for GPs has been in the Island today to fly the flag and hear concerns about staffing, funding and workloads.

Professor Helen Stokes-Lampard, Chair of the Royal College of General Practioners, has been visiting members at a series of meetings and talks.

Family doctors told her of concerns about growing patient lists, and a recruitment problem with the potential to leave some surgery posts empty in the long term.
