Last chance to join Taste scheme

Independent assessment of food outlets

Time is running out for local eateries to join the Taste Scheme, run by Visit Isle of Man.

The programme, now in its tenth year, celebrates local food - promoting its members online and in its hard-copy booklet.

Applications for food establishments wishing to be included in the 2019 Taste directory are closing next week.

Taste Isle of Man was introduced in 2008, and independently assesses all of the island's food outlets, based on their service, hospitality and cleanliness.

Currently, 55 cafes and restaurants are accredited by the scheme.

Awards based on the quality of each place are distributed, and the Harvest award goes to those who choose to use Manx produce in their offering.

The annual fee for registration is £100, which includes the cost of assessment.

Those wishing to be included should contact hannah.wylde@gov.im by 5 September.
