CM weighs into public sector pensions debate

The Chief Minister is calling for calm amid an ongoing debate over public sector pension reform.

A war of words erupted this week, when Prospect leader Angela Moffatt suggested industrial action was likely if union members rejected a series of proposed cuts.

Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan described her claims as 'irresponsible' and 'unhelpful' - accusing her of attempting to mount pressure on Tynwald ahead of a debate on the matter next month.
