More MHKs seek feedback on the future of the chief minister

'Levels of frustration appear to be growing' warns one member

More MHKs are asking for their constituents' views on the future of the chief minister.

Onchan member Rob Callister has been seeking feedback over the prospect of a vote of no confidence in Alfred Cannan following the dismissal of Julie Edge from her role as education minister.

In an update on social media, Mr Callister says the response from the public has been very clearly in favour of a vote of no confidence, and he's called on other MHKs to ask their constituents the same question.

In response, Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim Glover has asked his constituents if they feel it's time for 'a change at the top and a change of direction'.

Jason Moorhouse, also of Arbory, Castletown and Malew, is also inviting feedback - on social media he says "the levels of frustration appear to be growing, but options are limited", warning that the situation could be made worse if decisions are rushed and not fully considered.

Responding to calls for him to resign earlier this week, Mr Cannan insisted his administration will continue to take the Island forward for the next two and a half years.
