No milk price increase on the cards

Creamery MD hopes DEFA can support farmers

Consumers won't a see a rise in the cost of a pint of milk in the immediate future, despite the impact of this year's weather on the Island's farming industry.

The retail price of milk, which stands at 60p-per-pint, is controlled by the Milk Price Order.

Previous increases, which were approved by Tynwald, came in 2012 and again in 2015.

Managing Director of Isle of Man Creamery Findlay Macleod confirmed a price rise is not on the cards:
