Drivers are being asked to be aware of some emergency road closures this week, to allow for essential resurfacing work ahead of the TT.
The end of the Ballagarey Road in Glen Vine, at the junction with the main road to Peel, will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday) evening, between 6.30pm and 10.30 pm, to allow 'carriageway planing' operations on the main road.
The same stretch will also be closed from 6.30pm on Wednesday until 6.30 the following morning to allow the Main Road to be resurfaced. The Department of Infrastructure says the A1 Peel Road will remain open throughout the works, with traffic controlled by temporary signals.
On Wednesday and Thursday (May 4 and 5) Quarterbridge Road and the end of Selborne Road will be closed between 6.30pm and 10.30pm, to allow resurfacing work to take place.
The end of Selborne Road will also need to remain closed overnight on Thursday, to prevent damage to the new surface by turning vehicles.
