It looks as if improvements could be made to the paddock area behind the grandstand in time for next year's TT races.
Tourism and Leisure Minister Martyn Quayle says talks are under way between his department and Douglas Corporation, which owns the land, to avoid a repetition of the mud bath which blighted the recent Manx Grand Prix.
At this stage those involved are looking for a 'short-term solution' to the problem, but Mr Quayle says the 'bigger picture' is also being examined:
