Students and parents unhappy about plans to impose tuition fees have a month to raise concerns, after a Tynwald vote on a scheme to make students pay for the first time was delayed until the new year.
The Department of Education announced on Friday it would not table new regulations for the scheme at this week's Tynwald, after four MHKs petitioned the education and treasury ministers.
They called for more time for a public debate on the proposals.
Peter Karran opposed charging university students when he was minister, earlier this year.
