"Really special day" as Douglas Bay Horse Tramway celebrates 150 years

Family fun day event held at Strathallan Depot

The cake has been cut and Happy Birthday sung to the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway.

It officially opened on 7 August 1876, 150 years ago.

The occasion has been marked with a family fun day at the Strathallan depot.

The man in charge of cutting the cake was Horse Tram Driver Peter Cannon who has served 50 years on the tramway.
