Money sent to charity's GoFundMe page following interview with 96-year-old
The Queen's Pier Restoration Trust has described an anonymous donation of £9,696 as 'utterly tremendous'.
The money came in following an interview, aired by Manx Radio, with 96-year-old fundraiser Vincent Watkins.
He'd walked to each of the Island's lighthouses and harbour lights to give the restoration project a boost.
Whilst the money was sent from an anonymous source to the charity's existing page - the amount '9696' reflects Mr Watkin's age and was sent just hours after the interview was broadcast.
