Two rival football clubs in the North West of England are said to be close to signing sponsorship deals with the same Manx company.
Wigan and Bolton are currently in talks with internet bookmaker 188bet.com to put the company's name on their shirts.
Wigan owner Dave Whelan says he has opted to take a 'very lucrative' package from the company, based in Athol Street in Douglas, in favour of his own company DW Fitness and Sports.
Local rivals Bolton may also be backed by 188bet after it emerged they are in talks to replace their current sponsor Reebok.
188bet.com is registered under Cube Limited and is based in Royal Trust House in Athol Street.
