Appleby is ranked number one in The Lawyers' Offshore Survey for the second year running.
At the same time, the legal services provider is also expected to be the first of the offshore law groups to reach 100 partners.
The survey ranks companies by number of partners and Appleby, whose group partners have increased by eight in the past year, was well ahead of its competitors. The group now has 82 partners in its eleven officers, with twelve on the Isle of Man, and also has the largest number of fee earners.
The survey goes on to suggest that offshore legal providers are likely to continue to grow, due to the constant need for their services, and that it will not be long before the first offshore provider reaches 100 partners.
The survey also touches on the proportion of female parners in each company. Appleby is ranked second with 28 per cent, compared with 33 per cent for Jersey based Crill Canavan.
