School children will meet furry friends when Pets at Home opens in the Isle of Man this morning (Friday).
Pupils from Anagh Coar primary school will be among the guests when Deputy Mayor David Ashford officially opens the store, on the Spring Valley Industrial Estate, at 10am.
They will then be taken on a tour of the new facility and will take part in a pet care workshop.
Among the features in-store will be an aquatic centre, a reptile centre and a pet adoption centre where certain pets will be cared for until a new home can be found.
Over the weekend, volunteers from the MSPCA will be on hand to tell customers about their work and there will be entertainment for families, including face painting and balloon modelling.
