The Isle of Man has closed the gap on the United Kingdom when it comes to pay.
Figures in the latest Manx government survey show average earnings on the Island were 1.3 per cent below those in the UK in June last year, compared to 2.9 per cent in June 2009.
The average weekly wage for a worker in the Isle of Man is now £590.75.
Treasury Minister Anne Craine says there is good quality, diversified employment on the Island, although the figures are skewed by a high number of part-time workers:
