A subsidiary of Conister Finance could be in for an award thanks to its groundbreaking prepaid credit card.
TransSend issues the Net+ card, a prepaid MasterCard that can be used online and at cashpoints.
The card was launched by Island-based Neovia Financial, formerly known as Neteller, an online payment and transaction company.
The card has been nominated for 'Best New Prepaid Card Product Launch' at Cards & Payments, Europe's flagship cards and payments conference which takes place in Prague in June.
Richard Jones, TransSend's chief executive officer, says Neovia's product is the first time an e-wallet has been used to load both virtual and physical cards.
