Barclays Wealth strengthens Board.


Barclays Private Clients International Limited, which operates under the Isle of Man-registered business name of Barclays Wealth, has made three appointments to the Manx Board.

Ian Hodgkinson, Greg Ellison and Paul Savery will join the four-strong Board with immediate effect. All three new members to the Board have significant banking experience and complementary backgrounds.

Ian Hodgkinson is Head of Corporate Banking, Isle of Man and Channel Islands. Based in the Isle of Man, Ian has worked with Barclays for 30 years. He started his career at Barclays in the North West of England before moving to Royal Bank of Scotland International and then Fortis. Ian re-joined the Barclays Wealth team in The Isle of Man in 2006 as Head of International Trading Companies and was appointed Head of Corporate Banking early in 2007. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and holds a first class honours degree in financial services from Manchester University.

Greg Ellison is a director for the Barclays Wealth International Affluent business and is also based in the Isle of Man. He joined Barclays Wealth in 2006 as the Head of International Direct and Local Markets, Before joining Barclays he was Regional Manager for the Retail Bank at Abbey, prior to which he was with HBOS for eight years, during which time he held a number of senior positions, rising to Regional Manager in Regulated Sales. He holds an MBA from Henley Management College, the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate and a Business Studies degree.

Paul Savery is Director for the Barclays Wealth Intermediaries and Corporates business in Jersey, Isle of Man, Guernsey and Switzerland. Based in Jersey, he has been the Country Manager for Barclays on the Island since 2003. Paul was previously Corporate Director for Barclays Bank of Botswana Limited, and has also held senior roles in Egypt and the UK. Paul is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a Committee member of the Jersey Bankers Association.
