The importance of education outside of the classroom is crucial in both learning and individual personal development skills.
Unfortunately, life outside the security of the school gates can present very real dangers.
So, to increase the safety of their children and staff, Anagh Coar School wanted to purchase high-visibility reflective tops to cover school trips.
When staff from HSBC Securities Services became aware of this, the company decided to help out.
School head Jo Richardson said: ‘Learning from first hand experiences is an essential part of learning and, to do so effectively, often means working outdoors in different environments.
‘We are extremely grateful to HSBC Securities Services for the generous sponsorship of our high-visibility vests, which now means we can take part in more out of school activities with increased awareness of safety.’
Gillian Anderson of HSBC Securities Service (Isle of Man) Limited added: ‘We are committed to supporting key areas within our community and, particularly, supporting education, so we were delighted we could offer our support to help keep the children of Anagh Coar school safer during their field trips’.
