
A Cumbrian MP as well as a well known Border TV presenter Fiona Armstrong have this afternoon asked the Council of Ministers for their support in keeping a borders newsroom going.
The merger of Border with Tyne Tees is seen as a threat to local coverage.
Manx viewers are being asked to send in postcards to OFCom, the communications watchdog, to keep the coverage going.
