Venture to match new firms with backers
A Manx angel investor network which matches promising start-up firms with financial backers, says its formula is working well.
Bridge is backed by Island firms KPMG, Appleby and Continent 8 Technologies - all major players in their sectors.
The venture offers specialist help to would-be entrepreneurs, preparing them to meet 'angels', keen to invest in enterprises with high growth potential.
Bridge says since its launch in May 2016, it has had steady flow of inquiries from start-up firms considering a move to the Island - with a roughly equal number of investors in contact.
Tonight, the entrepreneurs and investors will network at a business reception hosted by the Lieutenant Governor (26 Jan).
