The Isle of Man is being introduced to the concept of up-cycling.
It's a process where disused or unwanted items are transformed into products of greater value than the originals.
An exhibition of up-cycled furniture was staged at St John's Mill recently, with all the items having been donated, bought for a few pounds from charity shops or rescued from skips at civic amenity sites.
Dawn Hamer from the start-up firm Interior Rehab says it's a business venture with a strong commitment to helping the environment:
