Dragan Solak owns a company based in Douglas
A businessman with links to the Isle of Man has taken over a Premier League football team.
Investment firm Sport Republic, which is backed by Serbian-born Dragan Solak, has purchased a £100-million controlling stake in Southampton FC.
Mr Solak's named as the owner of Gerrard Enterprises, which is based on Hope Street in Douglas.
Through this company, he has a 22 per cent stake in telecommunications business United Media Group.
The south coast team are 14th in the table, ten points clear of the top flight relegation zone.
