Two businesses in the south of the Island are helping the Island’s Youth Service and police find something for young people to do during the summer holidays.
The Bowling Green Café in Castletown and The Ice Cream Parlour on Lower Promenade in Port Erin will both extend their opening hours.
The Bowling Green Café will open until 9pm on Wednesdays, while the Ice Cream Parlour will open until 10pm on Fridays.
The Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team says it hopes young people will jump at the chance to meet up somewhere rather than walk the streets – and has praised the two firms for their community spirit.
