Former HSBC Manager plays 'key role'
A former HSBC Manager has received special recognition from the Department of Education, Sport and Culture, after the company has sponsored an event each year since its inception in 2002.
Kevin Cartledge is acknowledged as having played a key role in making the Manx Youth Games a lasting success - something the department describes as 'the Island's largest annual multi-sport event'.
Minister Graham Cregeen presented Mr Cartledge with an award, described as 'a token of our appreciation for his work over many years'.
Hundreds of children aged 6 to 15 come together in May each year to represent their regions in 12 sports.
Mr Cartledge says 'it's been a real pleasure to be involved in an event that has brought the fun and excitement of sport to so many local children'.
