Representatives from the Federation of Chinese Association of Manchester have recently visited the Isle of Man.
The delegation comprised Chairman Aibing Ge, international strategy director Calvin Liu and personal assistant Xia Shi of IDOL Ltd, a company based in Nanjing, Shanghai looking to invest in distributing eco-friendly British mother and baby products in China,
They were visiting the Island to learn about Manx business and company registration practices, with a view to establishing an offshore operation.
Also discussed was the possibility of establishing a twinning agreement between Nanjing and Douglas.
Welcoming the visitors to Douglas Town Hall, Mayor Stan Cain said he hoped the visit would help further links already established between the two countries and that there will be a mutual benefit gained from a greater understanding of each other's cultures.
