Isle of Man Film is staging its first ever outdoor film events this weekend, as part of the Arts Council's film festival.

The grounds of the Nunnery in Douglas have been turned into an open air cinema, where a 35ft screen will show Grease on Friday and the latest James Bond film, Casino Royale, on Saturday.

Isle of Man Film's Development Manager, Hilary Dugdale, says they are delighted to be screening films outdoors for the first time.

Other events include a tribute to the silent movie era at the Gaiety Theatre and a Filmmaker of Mann competition, which will give local budding directors a chance to exhibit their work.
